Irises are very fake-looking flowers. Like tulips. I would love to see these growing in their natural habitat; I'm so used to them trimmed and rubber-banded behind stiff clear plastic. Hey, I didn't buy them; I'm going to get into growing my own flowers one of these days (when I have that necessary ingredient: SUN).
The past few days I've made this awesome broccoli salad (steamed broccoli, mustard, soy sauce/balsamic vinegar, chopped pecans, olive oil) (I think it's mama's invention, and it's really the best broccoli dish ever) and this eggplant and chickpea pita (I'm trying to get over my fear of eggplant...it's not really working). And I like pistachios. And I will do anything to not start my massive pile of schoolwork that I'm hoping will somehow get done on time.
