Yeah, I really like the picture of the blue flower....
I've been gone for quite some time... school's kept me busy. But now, all of a sudden, I'm greeted with an overload of leisure time! That's the way it is around here, it's either all or nothing. Here's some of the work I had completed for our deadline today:
And here's the digital version:
This section was likewise printed in layers of vellum and stonehenge, but I've only included the digital version here as it's much more compelling digitally (as the manual version is more compelling physically).
I need to find a new piano piece to learn. Not sure how to go about doing so. Playing through the classical, romantic, twentieth century books I have is interesting, but it only goes so far. So much awesome stuff is not included (understandably, as then each book would be a billion pages). But I want to find some new composers! Might check out the music library on campus.
I finally went grocery shopping, although I'll admit it's fun in a way to live off what you happen to have. My post-grocery shopping meal was an invention of my own, and actually came out to be pretty good. Reading The New Vegetarian Epicure by Anna Thomas inspired me to buy a small jar of mole (as opposed to making it, although I'll do it one day) some time ago. I had a recent inspiration to make some sort of southwestern tofu dish.
So... I made a marinade/sauce with the mole, some mustard, olive oil, cumin, paprika, chili powder, a splash of lemon juice, and a dash of soy sauce.
I spread it over the tofu...
Garnished with sauteed poblano pepper, fresh cilantro, and Wheatsville chipotle salsa, over a bed of sauteed mustard greens with salt and pepper, it was quite good.
And it all took less than 30 minutes, that's for sure.
I CANNOT wait to live in a place with LIGHT. I guess when I do, I'll appreciate it that much more.
