My Saturday

Spent my morning at Greengate Farm. I really find farm work to be interesting and rewarding, and it's nice to spend any morning outdoors. Moving piglets to another pen proved to be comically chaotic and noisy, but by that point I wasn't of much use as I couldn't feel my very frozen hands...so I snapped a picture instead.

On a related note... I just made pancakes! They're tasteless, really, with the faintest hint of cinnamon and sugar. Honestly I just made the first recipe that came up on my online "eggless pancakes" search. But doused in sour cherry preserves and crumbled pecans, they improved about 3000%. And I always love using my cast iron pan, which worked beautifully.

Not the greatest food post, but fair warning for the future: I'm lazy (i.e. there's no guarantee for recipes) and I live in an entirely north-facing apartment (ensuring bad quality photography due to horrible lighting conditions.) Look forward to it!

I love this photo...I took it last summer on one of those sweltering days of Houston heat...it's a WEED in my backyard, and I daresay one that deserved to stay where it was.

Hi vast swath of cyberspace!

It's been on my mind for a long time to start a blog. It might be fun! And thus I have. I'm procrastinating Architecture, as usual (I can predict this will be a reoccurring theme in the creation of my posts). In any event, there's lots of exciting stuff going on in my life, so be prepared to read about it, and see beautiful accompanying pictures...at a later time. Peace.
