This semester we're working on urban housing. My housing complex is for musicians. It's sited in the "arts district" area we devised in our River North master plan for San Antonio, across the street from a gigantic park, within a strip of civic/arts function buildings and the San Antonio art museum. Each unit is only about 500 square feet- it's all about efficiency. The tallest the building gets is 4 stories, which means no elevator! An interior courtyard serves as an informal concert space for residents and visitors alike. The curves of the facade arise from the design of the individual unit, each of which has a "sound sphere" within which two wall curves ( ) frame sound and enhance sound quality. The units are arranged to allow for collaboration between neighbors and to provide a variety of spaces, indoor and outdoor, public and private, to play music.

passover cooking
I also made this white bean stew with strained tomatoes, kale, collard greens, sauteed onions, cumin, chili powder, thyme, salt and pepper~
Also, this kugel, with [quinoa] pasta, cottage cheese, millet, raisins, cinnamon, agave nectar~
Here's what I harvested from the Hillel garden today- mint, chives, and parsley. The mint is in the tea I'm drinking right now, and the chives garnished my very [colorful] dinner. Check out this rainbow~
sauteeing chard stems
roasted asparagus, golden beets, and baby red beets (also from Hillel garden) with olive oil and lemon
sweet potato and kabocha squash puree with cinnamon
